How Do I Get a Refund for My Amazon Prime Delivery?

Amazon Prime members get free delivery alongside other perks and benefits associated with this type of membership. If you have been charged for delivery, contact customer service immediately. However, there may be a few circumstances where free delivery may not apply. You can visit the Amazon website, use the app, or call customer service directly.

Call Amazon Prime Directly

Prime members who incur charges for an Amazon delivery can call customer service directly to inquire about a refund. As a Prime member, free delivery is part of your membership. An Amazon Prime customer service representative should be able to refund the delivery charges and provide an ETA of when you can expect to receive your refund. Keep in mind that a refund can take up to thirty days to appear in your account.

Visit the Website

If you have been charged for delivery as an Amazon Prime member, you can go to the website and use the contact us option. Provide details about what has happened and give identifying information to make it possible for Amazon to contact you with a solution. You can also log into your account, select the order in question from the order history log, and submit a request for help by selecting the option that most closely fits the problem. A customer service representative will respond with solutions for the problem and an ETA of when you can expect to be refunded. Members should use the "problem with my order" option and provide details to request a refund.

Use the App

Prime members can also use the app to request a refund for a delivery charge. Simply log in and access the order history. Select the order that you incurred delivery charges for and request a refund. If you need to provide additional details about what happened or any other significant information, there may be an option to do so. An Amazon Prime customer service representative should contact you via phone or through the app with a message regarding your refund.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Amazon Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
