There are two main ways to send someone a Home Depot gift card: through email or through regular mail.

Home Depot Digital Cards

To send a friend or family member a Home Depot digital card, complete the steps outlined below:

  1. Open the Home Depot website from your browser.
  2. Scroll to the end of the page and select "Gift Cards" under "Resources."
  3. Select "Shop Now" at the top of the page that opens.
  4. Choose "Email It" to send a digital card.
  5. Pick the card design.
  6. Select if the card will be for someone else or yourself.
  7. Add the recipient's name and your name.
  8. Include a personal message if wanted.
  9. Set the card amount and click the "Buy Now" button.
  10. You will be prompted again to add a personalized message if wanted. Click "Next Step."
  11. Add the recipient's email address twice and the date to send the card, then click "Add to Cart."
  12. Go to checkout.
  13. Choose the payment method and add payment details, including billing information and card number.
  14. Select "Place Order" to complete the purchase and have the card delivered in minutes.

Sending someone a classic (plastic) card is possible by completing the steps outlined below:

  5. Pick the card design.

  10. Enter the name and address of the recipient.
  11. Select the shipping method and click "Add to Cart."
