What You'll Need

You should call a Verizon customer service representative before you transfer your service address to see if there are any special deals available. Verizon sometimes offers deals for its customers when they move, which could result in a rebate, free access to a variety of popular streaming services for a few months, or even an equipment upgrade.Make sure you have your account number with you when you call Verizon customer service.
You will also need to have your new address with you.If you have recently moved and filed a change of address form with the US Postal Service, you may find that Verizon has automatically changed your billing address to your new address for you. This is because the Post Office may send your updated address to Verizon as a part of its updates, and Verizon will change the information in its system automatically to match it.

Check that Verizon has wireless service coverage in the area you are moving to using the Verizon wireless coverage map.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Verizon Wireless Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
