I recently received an email from someone claiming to be Alex Hines with the phone number [redacted]. This person offered me a job as a personal assistant and sent me a check, which turned out to be fake after I compared it to legitimate checks and verified it at the bank. This is the second time I have been targeted by scammers in this way. I have saved all the emails, texts, and the fake check. I just wanted to alert others about these fraudulent activities. It is alarming that scammers are targeting young people like me. I appreciate any advice or assistance you can provide on this matter.

**Rewritten Post:** I recently hired a technician named Carl for HVAC repair after my heater stopped working. Initially, he replaced a part, but the issue persisted. Upon inspection by another technician, it was discovered that the wrong part was replaced. Carl avoided correcting his mistake despite promises. He also falsely claimed there was a need for a motherboard replacement which my unit does not even have. This experience has been frustrating and costly. I implore Craigslist to prevent others from falling victim to his deceptive practices. His lack of professionalism and refusal to rectify the situation is concerning. Please be cautious when dealing with him. Thank you for sharing your support. - Karen N.

I would like to share my experience renting a room from Marylin Greene in Tyler, TX. I believe she attracts unsuspecting victims to rent, only to bully and belittle them. Marylin is overbearing and confrontational, making the living situation uncomfortable. She enforces rules not clearly outlined in the lease, becomes angry over minor mistakes, and falsely accuses tenants. Her behavior includes verbal abuse, invading privacy by having locks on bedroom and bathroom doors with screws on the outside, and making renters feel worthless. She threatens legal action, causes distress, and takes advantage of kindness. I advise caution before renting from her as my experience has triggered my PTSD and caused anxiety. She neglects basic tenant rights and creates a hostile living environment. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My listing for two 19th-century British prints depicting historic buildings has been taken down. I would like to know the reason for this removal and how I can request it to be reinstated. For sale are two early 19th-century British engravings from the series "Walks Through London." The first print is an aquatint titled "Entrance to St. Bartholomew's Hospital from Smithfield," hand-colored at the time of printing. The second print is a metal plate engraving titled "The Chapel of the Charter House." Both prints are fully framed and matted, and in excellent condition. The detailed captions for each print include the artist, engraver, title, and publication information. The first print was published in [redacted], while the second print was published in [redacted]. Each piece measures approximately 10" x 8.5".

I bought a car from a dealer listed on Craigslist who claimed it had 74,[redacted] miles and a clean title. After buying it with cash, I received the title and discovered the mileage was inaccurate. A VIN check revealed the actual mileage was over [redacted],[redacted], indicating the previous owner tampered with it. The car is a [redacted] Toyota Solara from a listing on Baltimore's Craigslist, now deleted. I am seeking help to retrieve the ad as evidence for potential legal action, as I paid $[redacted] for the car based on false information provided by the seller.

I found NY Knicks tickets on Craigslist and reached out to Mr. Alvin Richards at [redacted] to buy them. I paid $[redacted].00 via ZellePay. Here is the Craigslist ad for the tickets to the Milwaukee Bucks vs NY Knicks game on Dec. 24. The seller is offering 4 tickets at $65 each. They mentioned accepting Chase QuickPay and Zelle. If you're interested, contact the seller at the provided email. Thank you!

I responded to a Craigslist listing for a Rent-to-own property in Mesa, AZ. I left a voicemail and received a text message from the person claiming to be the owner. We arranged to view the house, but when we arrived, no one was there. The person gave us instructions to access the property using a lockbox. After seeing the house, we expressed interest, but the owner only sent an agreement without any details on the purchase price. When questioned about the price, he avoided giving a straight answer. Upon investigating, I found out the house was actually owned by a national property management company and listed at a higher rent on their website than on Craigslist. The property management company had no knowledge of the individual claiming to be the owner or offering Rent-to-own agreements. It seems to be a scam targeting unsuspecting individuals looking to rent or buy a home.

I am experiencing an issue with the reply button on Craigslist Eugene, Oregon, specifically under the "cars and trucks by owner" section. For the past two weeks, I have been unable to open any ads when clicking on the reply button. An error message pops up, stating "An error has occurred, please try again later." This problem only occurs for listings under "for sale by owner" and not for car dealer ads. I am using a MacBook Pro with Mac OS Mojave version 10.14.2. I have contacted Apple and my internet provider, CenturyLink, but they both indicate that the issue lies with Craigslist. Despite spending over seven hours with Apple support, the problem remains unresolved. When I click on reply, a small light blue square in the form of an "I'm not a robot" logo briefly appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen before the error message. I have tried all suggested solutions, including reading through forums, but to no avail. I am seeking assistance to be able to access "for sale by owner" listings so I can purchase a used vehicle in Eugene, Oregon. Thank you for your help. Best, G.

I've encountered an issue on Craigslist in Eugene, Oregon when trying to reply to car and truck listings by the owner for the past four weeks. Every time I hit the reply button, an error message appears, instructing me to try again later. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Mojave version 10.14.2. After contacting Apple numerous times and verifying that the issue isn't on their end, I reached out to my internet service provider, CenturyLink, who confirmed that the problem lies with Craigslist. I kindly ask Craigslist to address this matter promptly so that I can access contact information for vehicle listings in Eugene, Oregon. It's been frustrating to spend countless hours attempting to resolve this issue without success. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently encountering an overwhelming number of "Handy" ads while browsing job postings in Mendocino and the San Francisco North Bay area on Craigslist. The repetitive nature of these ads is making it challenging and frustrating for me to find suitable job listings. Despite being highly skilled, I lack formal payroll experience, which may not align with the requirements of these ads. I believe my job search is being hindered by the excessive presence of these ads. I am reaching out in hopes that this issue can be addressed to improve the user experience for individuals like myself who are searching for employment opportunities on Craigslist. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There have been numerous complaints on various online platforms about Craigslist's lack of response to ongoing error messages. I recently encountered a frustrating issue while trying to contact a seller in California. Every time I attempted to reply to an ad in the state, I received an error message stating, "An error has occurred, try again later on." This issue seems to be widespread, affecting both sellers and buyers across multiple states. I have already reached out to Craigslist's Tech Support via email, but unfortunately, I have not received any assistance. Despite clearing my browsing history regularly, the problem persists. The continuous silence from Craigslist is disappointing and gives the impression that they are indifferent to their users' concerns. It is frustrating that such a significant issue is being overlooked. Hopefully, they will address this problem soon or face competition from more user-centric platforms. I am eager for a response and a resolution to this perplexing geographical-specific error message in California. Roberta

My forum posts keep getting flagged and removed multiple times. I came across a similar post with puppies priced like mine, but the buyer needed to travel 6 hours. I suspect someone is trying to limit competition. Now when I try to repost, it says my phone number is already linked to an account, banning me for 90 days. This is concerning as my puppies will age out by then. I've followed all the rules and had success before, so this is frustrating. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Charity

I came across a job offer on Craigslist to post tickets for $[redacted] a week. Despite some doubts, I decided to give it a try. The employer asked me to create a shared email and sent me instructions on what to post. Even though there were red flags, I continued as posting seemed simple. However, I got ghosted after the games were over and realized he was redirecting people to fake Ebay pages. I tried reaching out to others but received no responses. It seems like he scammed me and others by having them buy gift cards without receiving any tickets. It's frustrating that he tricked us, leaving all of us at a loss while he benefited. Name: A. Re: Disappointing Experience with Seller on Craigslist After a series of text messages, the seller and I agreed to meet 58 miles away from my home to view the boat listed for sale. My wife and I arrived early and notified the seller, but unfortunately, he did not show up for the scheduled appointment. Despite calling and leaving a voicemail, we did not receive any explanation or acknowledgment for his absence. It was a frustrating experience, especially since it was my first time attempting to make a purchase on Craigslist. I have kept all the text messages as records. I believe this behavior warrants the seller being banned from the platform.

I placed an advertisement in the "Services~Small Biz Ads" category on December 11, [redacted], seeking a potential business partner. Unfortunately, I received minimal responses. I then attempted to repost the same ad in the "Business / Mgmt" category, followed by an altered version in "etc / misc" titled "Looking for Potential Business Partner(s)." Surprisingly, both reposts were flagged. I am uncertain as to why this occurred as they were in distinct categories. Is there a restriction limiting one Craigslist ad per 48 hours, regardless of category differences? How can I avoid being flagged in the future when reposting? Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, J. M. Email: [redacted] Laguna Woods, CA Cell: [redacted]

Ten days ago, I came across an advertisement for a holiday rental in Jerusalem on Craigslist while planning a trip to Israel with my family in the spring. I reached out to the "renter" at [redacted], got a quote, and signed a "contract" on January 5, [redacted]. The document listed the apartment owner as David Leopen from Alon Central, a legitimate Jerusalem real estate company. On January 7, I transferred a 60% down payment ($[redacted]) to a bank account provided by [redacted] Then, on January 10, I became suspicious after reading about rental scams online and contacted Mr. Leopen in Israel, who confirmed he was not associated with the rental or knew Laura McDaniel. I believe it is unacceptable that Craigslist lacks vetting procedures, especially when reputable organizations like the Hebrew University endorse it for finding accommodation in Israel. I urge for the immediate removal of fraudulent listings to prevent others from falling victim.

I recently posted an ad for a UTV called Massimo in the Farm and Garden category for farm and ranch use. I received an email from someone flagging my post, calling me names like "TURD Breath." I don't know who this person is, but their behavior is unacceptable. I always post in the correct category. Please investigate this issue and take appropriate action. Using derogatory language in emails is unnecessary and offensive. I am open to correcting any mistakes if needed. Thank you. UTV - Massimo Fri, Jan 11, [redacted] 5:30 pm

I posted an ad for a UTV called Massimo in the Farm and Garden category since it's mainly for farm use. Someone flagged my ad and sent me a rude email referring to it as "prohibited ad turdbreath." I want to address this issue as I believe it's uncalled for. I always use the same area and categories that best fit my items. I don't appreciate being insulted in emails or called names. Please investigate this matter and inform the person who flagged my ad that their behavior is inappropriate. I want to know if there is something wrong with my ad that I need to correct. Thank you for looking into this.
