I have submitted and resubmitted a prescription, as I was told there was no pre-authorization. After no luck with Express Scripts in April*May, and the provider assuring me that a pre-authorization had been called in, i tried having it filled at Target*CVS this summer, where they held the prescription several weeks*months, and attempted to deal with insurance denials and provider telling them it had been done. Per their advice, I sent it again to Express Scripts, contacted provider numerous times. The provider had terminated employment with her practice by this time and no one could reissue without another physician visit. * Since APRIL ****, I was told there was no pre-authorization. I found out * weeks ago from Jose A that it was actually an error on the part of Express Scripts, that the preauthorization actually had been there since April, but dosage had not been changed from ** mg to ** mg tab last April. Two wks ago, he ran a simulated payment and all was accepted. I sent my prescription back in that same day, as he assured me it would work now. I received a letter today stating my prescription has now expired (original dated *******) and cannot be filled. *My portion for my physian visit was almost $***. I am able to obtain receipts. This visit was solely to get this prescription. I have gone without prescription and literally wasted hours with multiple phone calls, trips to pharmacy, trips to provider, trying to get this prescription filled, both through ES and Target*CVS. This was not my error. I therefore do not feel the financial responsibility should be mine either. I would like Express Scripts to reimburse my medical provider the cost of the medical visit for a prescription that was not filled due to Express Scripts error.*Thank you*Jennifer Folkert*(***)***-****
