I was charged a penalty of $**** by California because I didn't check box ** on my **** California Form ***NR. I was not asked the question regarding healthcare coverage for **** on your questions for California. I did have coverage and would have answered yes to the question, but it was not asked. As a result a check mark was not transferred to line ** and I was charged the penalty. I noticed you asked a similar question about health care coverage in the IRS questions which I did answer. Either you should have transferred the Federal return answer to the CA return or asked a similar question for the California questions.**What is H&R Block going to do about this oversight and how will you fix it in the future? I believe this is your responsibility.**I am a long-term user of your software and have never has a problem before this.
