Last night, *******, I ordered an UberX from San Francisco airport to take me home to Castro Valley. A ride with a driver Mohamed was confirmed at a price a little above $**. I confirmed, and watched the progress. At about * miles away, the driver texted me on the Uber app and said he had a flat tire, and to please cancel the ride, and request another. I did so immediately and another driver, Elishia, Black Ford Escort, confirmed, but the ride almost tripled in price to $***.**. Progress on the Uber app kept varying from ** minutes to * minutes, and despite sending the driver texts that i was still waiting at the designated pickup spot, she did not arrive, no respons to my texts. Finally the app designated a new driver, Remy in a black toyota prius and he came and picked me up in ** minutes and was fine. I dont believe I should be charged $***.** for a ride that originally quoted for a little over $**. This is the first time I ever had an issue like this with Uber,
GetHuman-jakrysia did not yet indicate what Uber should do to make this right.
