I recently created a Venmo account without providing ID, received money, and made transactions without any verification. However, when attempting to transfer money to my bank, my account got frozen, and I was asked for valid ID. I emailed the only ID I have, an expired ID, and my social security number. As my funds are frozen, I am unable to obtain a state ID. I suggested alternative IDs for verification like a social security card, birth certificate, or a photo of me with my expired license and social security number. I feel frustrated with the inability to access my funds and hope for a resolution.

I sent $[redacted] to @Isaiahdickman with payment ID [redacted][redacted]65. This was a scam by ammoryandfirearmsshop.com for Winchester shell shot. I have a screenshot of the transaction. The money isn’t my concern; it's about preventing others from being scammed. Venmo should block such transactions; they blamed an old employee for the scam, but it was them. They contacted me from [redacted] and then erased the messages. Please take action to prevent this. Perhaps Venmo can monitor this, like its parent company PayPal does. I might reach out to them. I usually trust Venmo but now I'm cautious. It seems I'm in contact with someone other than Venmo below. Is this another scam? I hope for genuine assistance. My trust in people and online services is waning.

My account was frozen five days ago by Venmo without any explanation. I have tried calling, emailing, and following all the instructions on the website, but still no resolution. This situation is unacceptable, especially since I am a single father supporting five children. Every dollar is crucial for me, and having my account frozen has caused a significant setback. I rely on Venmo for daily payments from my employer for various job materials. It used to be convenient until this issue arose. Please unfreeze my account as soon as possible.

We have uncovered numerous cases of fraud linked to various countries. Despite reaching out for help, we have received little assistance from Venmo, allowing criminals to use the platform for money laundering. I purchased a variety of Back on Track items and horse tack from seller Madison Ho on May 10, [redacted], totaling $[redacted]. Despite multiple requests, the seller has not provided tracking information or proof of shipping. I have repeatedly asked for either the items or a refund, but the seller has given several excuses. Initially, they offered a refund, then claimed it couldn't be processed for $[redacted]. They later said the refund was sent but would take 3 business days to process, which has not happened. I suspect the seller never shipped the items and just took my money. I am seeking a full refund of $[redacted] as the purchased items were never received. The items included a variety of Back on Track products and horse accessories, all ordered on May 10, [redacted]. The seller uses the username @Madison-Ho-1 and claims to be an authorized Back on Track dealer. I am looking to dispute this transaction and obtain a refund but need assistance with the process.

I was approached by someone on Facebook marketplace. I shared my Venmo account with them, and they requested my email for verification purposes. After claiming to have sent $[redacted], it raised suspicions of a potential scam. I then received an email that appears dubious: From: Venmo Guidline <[redacted]> Subject: Pending Payment Notification Dear @Tami-Sturgeon, You have a pending payment of $[redacted].00 USD in your account. However, due to your account being limited and categorized as non-business, we cannot credit the amount. To resolve this, you are asked to request the buyer to send an additional $[redacted].00 USD to your Venmo account, making it a total of $[redacted].00 USD after deducting a compensation fee of $50. Please note that the payment will not reflect in your account until the buyer refunds the additional amount for mutual protection. You will then receive a confirmation email from the Venmo Team once the funds are credited to your account. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Thank you for choosing Venmo. I recently opened a Venmo account, and unfortunately, after trying to connect my Cash App account to it, my Venmo account got locked. Venmo requested a statement from the account I was trying to link, which is lengthy. However, their upload page only allows 3-4 pages at a time, causing issues with submitting all the required information. Consequently, my funds have been inaccessible for weeks, impacting my ability to repay my boss and purchase a necessary car part for my son who has angio sarcoma - a cancerous brain tumor. I've been facing significant challenges due to this situation, as I urgently need access to the $[redacted] that is currently held up. I hope we can quickly resolve this issue and close my account. My $1,[redacted] transfer to my overdrawn SDCCU checking account is still pending in the Venmo app. The transfer was initiated before 3:00 PM EST, and I was expecting it to clear today. However, upon checking my email, I received a message that seemed to be from Venmo regarding the micro deposits not verifying the account. The email advised me to call Venmo, so I did. After a 10-minute wait, the representative who answered sounded distant, like she was on speakerphone. I asked her to adjust the volume so I could hear her better, but she seemed to have trouble hearing me as she repeatedly said "Hello?" Please assist me with this transfer, as it's been quite a few hours and I urgently need the funds. Thank you.

I visited the ATM at Brandon Bank in Floral City, Florida during a power outage due to a storm. While attempting to withdraw from my Venmo card, the power outage caused the machine to reject my card. I called the bank the next day to recover my card, but was informed that cards taken by ATMs were destroyed to prevent fraud. Now I cannot access my account because I have a new phone number and no Venmo card. I've contacted Venmo's customer service twice, but they need to verify my identity before issuing a new card. Despite sending them a copy of my ID, it's been over a week without resolution. I need help gaining access to my online account to transfer funds or for someone to call me back regarding a new card or account restoration. I received a $[redacted] transfer from a friend on Venmo to my account. After attempting to link my Discover Bank account to transfer the funds there, I was informed that Venmo does not currently support Discover Bank. Frustrated by the delay, I pressed for immediate assistance without success. Venmo promised an email from the special team, which I have yet to receive. Despite opening multiple support tickets, Venmo closes them without explanation. It has been five days, my account remains frozen, and Venmo has not reached out to me. Their lack of communication and support have left me feeling helpless and angry about the situation.

My account was locked in late June due to unauthorized activity. After following the instructions in the email, I was given case number #[redacted]7. Despite it not being a payment issue, the only assistance provided was a link to fill out an online form for non-payment-related account closures. This led to a frustrating loop of unhelpful emails, including multiple messages from Carissa promising a response within 6-7 days, which never occurred. When attempting to contact Venmo via phone, following the suggestion to press '0' for a human, I received an error message, then selecting option 3 for "frozen accounts" only led me back to filling out the online help ticket. The experience has been incredibly exasperating.

I received a message on Facebook Messenger claiming to be from Robert Arcand but using the Venmo username John-Massey-[redacted]. The scam involved requests for money through a fake email ([redacted]) under the guise of upgrading my account. The fraudulent activity led to a loss of $[redacted]. The scammer wanted additional money under the pretense of upgrading to a "business account". Venmo allegedly sent an email explaining the need to enroll in a business account to receive a payment of $[redacted], with further instructions to pay an additional $[redacted] and $[redacted]. The email detailed a complex process involving taking screenshots and making payments to upgrade the account, ultimately leading to a total loss of $[redacted]. Please be cautious and vigilant against such deceptive practices.

I recently opened a Venmo business account linked to my personal one. I had $[redacted] deposited into the account, but it got frozen because the bank card I used raised red flags. Hello, I am facing issues accessing my Venmo account. When I tried the "forgot password" option, the reset email is being sent to the previous user's email who had this phone number linked to their Venmo account. I am unable to change the email since I can't access the account. I've tried contacting the previous phone number owner without success. On Tuesday, July 19, I sent a payment of $[redacted].00 to my aunt, Ruth Chesnutt, who resides in Fayetteville, AR, and banks with Bank of America. Unfortunately, the money was deducted from my account but was not received by her. Since she faces challenges due to her age and disabilities, specifically related to setting up the necessary account for the transfer, I have been unable to resolve the issue. Her daughter's attempt to assist was hindered by the authentication process, specially designed for devices that my aunt does not have easy access to. I accidentally ordered keto pills but canceled immediately. Despite my written cancellation, they still sent the order. Now, they switched me to recurring payments and charged me $[redacted]. I want this stopped, my money refunded, and no further shipments. I've tried to cancel multiple times, but they keep sending and charging me. My doctor advised against the pills, so I need Venmo to stop payments and refund me.

Last week, I contacted Venmo regarding an issue from [redacted] involving an ex-girlfriend who opened an account in my name while I was away. Following the specialist's advice, I attempted to reload the money this morning, but my account is not only frozen but now suspended. It is unfair to withhold funds needed for rent, especially when there are no pending transactions. I urge you to release my money promptly to avoid further financial hardship. I recently encountered an unfortunate situation where a buyer of my furniture sent me a fraudulent email posing as Venmo, claiming to have made a payment to me. Despite never receiving any funds, $[redacted] was stolen from my Venmo account by a scammer named @gregoryj-bender. I had specifically requested the payment to be made from my Bank of America account. I have screenshots of the fake emails and am awaiting a call back from the police for a report.
