I recently purchased a pre-owned [redacted] BMW X1 SUV that is supposed to be compatible with Apple CarPlay. However, I have been having trouble getting it to work. Despite my manual and online sources mentioning a CarPlay function, all I see are "Telephone" and "Bluetooth" options. Apple verified that my car is compatible and that CarPlay is now free for compatible vehicles. My phone is connected, but I am struggling to find the CarPlay functions on the iDrive system. When I contacted BMW, I was told that only [redacted] and newer models support CarPlay, contrary to what Apple and online resources say. I was really looking forward to using CarPlay, so any help would be appreciated.

I have been encountering ongoing confusion and receiving contradictory information regarding which BMW engine oils are suitable for my [redacted] X3 xDrive28i (N20). The manual mentions that LL-14+ is only recommended for certain gasoline engines but does not specify which ones. I am seeking clear guidance on the exact oil specification needed for my vehicle. Dealers suggest using Mobil 1, but Mobil does not have a recommended oil for my car. Castrol, the manufacturer of your oil, mentions Edge Professional, which is hard to find in the US. Moreover, I recently discovered that LL-14+ has been replaced by LL-17FE. Can you please provide clarification on which oils are safe to use in my vehicle, whether from your brand or others? Thank you.

I spoke with Mr. Frank Fernandez today at Fields Winter Park regarding my service on March 29th. After the repair, a metal plate was left unfastened, causing damage to my radiator, rock mount, water pump, and other components. BMW customer relations created a claim the same day for the damages. Despite attempts to fix it, issues persisted with a coolant leak and malfunctioning air conditioning. I lost trust in the Winter Park location's service. A visit to Leith BMW of Raleigh confirmed the need for repairs initially quoted on July 13th, [redacted]. As a US army vet, I expect better service from BMW. The lack of accountability is disappointing. I am disappointed and seek to have the repair covered at Leith BMW of Raleigh, NC. I am eager to have this matter resolved promptly. Thank you.

Hello,
I purchased a BMW i3 Rex with VIN number WBY1Z4C53EV273323 here in Jordan, imported from the USA. I am the second owner in Jordan and the third owner overall. The high voltage battery warranty expires on 2-Sep-[redacted], with a total distance traveled of approximately [redacted],000km (about 91,[redacted] miles). The battery's capacity on the car control screen shows 14.3 kWh out of 22kWh, indicating only about 65% capacity, below the 70% threshold for warranty replacement. While the battery is just out of warranty, the capacity drop has been minimal and the mileage is under [redacted],[redacted] miles. I kindly request a replacement under warranty.
Best regards,
Eng. BA

I am extremely disappointed with my BMW F06 [redacted] Gran Coupe. My car has been shutting down and switching off unexpectedly. I need help with identifying the cause. Four months ago, I noticed a hole in the right side of my trunk which led to water entering when washing the car. A month ago, I heard a theft alarm after washing my car and moving it to the garage. The alarm wire was disconnected, but three days later, I found water under the fuse box and near the battery. While driving, the car turned off in the middle of the street. Despite attempts to restart, it continued to switch off on the way home. Experts believe the issue is related to the fuel pump module (EKPM3) and a possible short circuit. I replaced the fuel pump but the problem persisted. Connecting the cables from the fuse box led to the fuse blowing. I'm unsure if the issue is due to water damage in the trunk or the EKPM3 module. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated.

I have 15 years of experience as a production and quality control manager in military factories in Egypt and K.S.A. I have a simple idea to protect your fantastic car wheels while driving on the road from steel pieces and nails by using a suitable permanent magnetic rubber holder. I have a great passion for BMW cars. My dream job opportunity would be in mechanical maintenance, as it has been my field for 25 years. Best regards, Eng Saif. [redacted]

I received a warning about my vehicle's passenger restraints malfunctioning and was advised to bring it in for repairs. After taking it to the dealership, they discovered that liquid had leaked into the components beneath the cup holders, causing the issue. I expressed my concerns about having to pay for the repair as the cup holders were not properly sealed from the components. The dealership mentioned they would investigate further, but I discovered online that others have faced similar problems and had to cover the costs themselves.

We bought a certified [redacted] 535i xDrive previously leased in [redacted]. Recently, we noticed an oil leak in a video taken by the dealership. They believe it's coming from the case itself, not a gasket or seal, and are suggesting a $12,[redacted] transmission repair. The leak seems to be around the bell housing, which is unusual for oil leaks. Despite this issue, there hasn't been any oil on the floor where the car is parked. The BMW has always been maintained by a dealer using BMW parts.
I've tried contacting customer service but only reach a recording. Any advice would be appreciated.

I own a [redacted] M760ix with VIN #WBA7H6C59JG614942. I've been facing a recurring issue with my front tires blowing out. Despite having under 14,[redacted] miles on the car, I've had to replace 5 or 6 front tires. BMW has documented this. On 3/23, I had 2 new tires, alignment, and balancing done, and I noticed a shaking. I returned on 6/6 for an oil change and mentioned the shake. The service team said all four wheels were bent and quoted me around $6,[redacted]. I requested a factory representative evaluate the car due to my expenses of over $7,[redacted]. Unfortunately, they never followed up. I initially contacted BMW customer service and spoke with Robert, who advised me to get a written estimate. After being disconnected twice during follow-up calls, I am reaching out here after a month of failed attempts. The dealership involved is Hudson Valley BMW in Poughkeepsie, NY, and the unhelpful service manager is Larry. I purchased your top-tier vehicle for its quality, but I'm severely disappointed with both the product and the dealership's treatment. I refuse to return to Haberstadt on Long Island after this experience. Thank you, Vincent Decongilio. Hamlet Way, Hopewell Jct, NY [redacted]. Phone number: [redacted].
